About me

Aussie born and British based, I’ve been a Chartered Physiotherapist for over 25 years. I specialise in Sport and Exercise Physiotherapy for women, children and young adults.

Qualifications and experience

After studying for my primary degree in Physiotherapy (University of Queensland, 1995), I worked in the NHS and private sector, both in Australia and the UK, as well as for local and national sports teams. I also have a Masters in Sport and Exercise Physiotherapy (Cardiff University, 2011).

I've conducted research supporting women to optimise their health at different life stages, from teens to mid life, and been part of studies return to sport post injury and post orthopaedic surgical rehab.

I led The Sports Medicine Clinic at University of Bristol for many years,  working with students and the wider public. I oversaw the care of people of all ages and abilities - from the inactive to elite sports people, and many in between.

This included members of the Olympic Gold Medal winning Great Britain Women's Hockey Team, Olympic marathon and track runners,  England Netball players, England and Wales Rugby players and international swimmers.

As an active mum of 2 children, runner, swimmer, gym member and racket sports player, I understand the demands on your body, focus and tim

Working with others, Collaborations

I work closely with Medics, Allied Health Professionals, Coaches, Pilates Instructors, other Specialist Physios and Personal Trainers. I have a professional and personal connection with This Mum Runs (most recently advising on their Run30 App) and volunteer as a County Safeguarding Officer with Avon Tennis.
