Physiotherapy, physical health and performance expert for women
I am a CHARTERED PHYSIOTHERAPIST with 25+ years of experience, and specialise in women’s health, wellbeing and performance (personal, professional and sports performance). I bring a unique understanding of women’s needs, aches, pains, stiffness, sports injuries and the common changes and challenges they go through. My female specific, holistic and practical approach to Physiotherapy, optimising women’s physical health and performance helps women to move well, gain confidence and strength and stay resilient through midlife and beyond. I help women manage their pain, stiffness, conditions and energy.
I work with women for 1:1 Physiotherapy in person and online, through speaking engagements, through the Anchor Collective - a membership for peri and post menopausal women.
I am based in BS9 in Bristol, and travel regularly to London, Birmingham, Bath, Cardiff and around the south west of England to deliver Masterclasses and speaking engagements.

1 | Speaking
I regularly lead workplace events, providing companies with the essential tools to support women’s physical health and wellbeing in the workplace.
Specialist subjects for these include, but are not limited to women’s physical health during perimenopause and beyond, sports injuries, physical acitivity, osteoarthrits, bone health and ageing. I have particular skills in running, athletics, racket sports, hockey, netball, nordic walking and golf.
I do speaking engagements for to national, regional and local sporting groups and women’s professional and social organisations. I share my knowledge and practical, down to earth tips and quick wins at festivals and shows, on podcasts.
I also speak on these topics in my online Masterclasses for the general public.
2 | Physio for women in BS9, Bristol
I work with women 1:1 for assessment and treatment in a clinic room at Trymwood Fitness, Bristol, BS9 2DP. I support women of all ages and abilities. Using credible and assessment techniques, I can diagnose problems, and help you understand your body and how best to help yourself to manage and eliminate pain and stiffness. I treat a wide range of joint, muscle, bone and nerve conditions. Examples include low back pain, knee, hip and ankle pain, ankle sprains, neck pain and stiffness, osteoarthritis, osteopenia and osteoporosis, post surgical rehabilitation, shoulder rotator cuff and joint pain, tennis and golfer’s elbow and heel pain. Our clinic environment has a personal training gym and exercise machines attached to it, which I can use in assessment and treatment.
I specialise in treating women in their 40s, 50s and beyond, and have a strong background in sport and exercise related injuries, having completed an MSc in Sport and Exercise Physiotherapy and managing sports medicine at University of Bristol for many years. For more, see about me.

I am a core part of The Anchor Collective alongside Laura Clark, aka Menopapuse Dietitian. This supportive membership programme helps midlife women feel confident with nutrition, confidence with movement, strengthening and mindset.
As well as providing regular content ourselves, we bring in trusted professionals, including psychologists, food writers and chefs to support your wider health and help you sustain healthy habits.
4 | Writing
I contribute evidence based opinion and advice pieces to mainstream media. I do writing commissions on physiotherapy related topics, sport and exercise and women’s physical health. I love weaving women’s stories and the latest in women’s health to meaningful content which genuinely helps women.
